PRESS RELEASE:
Ingalls Information Security Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification, Reinforcing Commitment to Defense Industrial Base Cyber Readiness
November 17, 2025
WOODWORTH, LOUISIANA, UNITED STATES, November 17, 2025 -- Ingalls Information Security, a leading provider of hands-on cybersecurity and compliance solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), today announced that it has successfully achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2.
“This certification reflects the hard work, dedication, and expertise of our team,” said Brandi Pickett, Senior Vice President of Government Programs. “CMMC Level 2 certification solidifies our role as a trusted partner within the DoD and the DIB,” Pickett added.

The achievement comes on the heels of the DoD’s announcement that CMMC requirements will begin taking effect on November 10, marking a significant shift toward mandatory cybersecurity compliance across the defense supply chain. This timing underscores Ingalls’ proactive approach in meeting and exceeding the latest DoD standards before they become a contractual requirement.
The certification marks a significant milestone in Ingalls’ ongoing mission to secure systems, achieve compliance, and maintain readiness—validating the company’s continued leadership in protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and strengthening national cyber resilience.
As part of its preparation, Ingalls partnered with its sister company, C3 Integrated Solutions, leveraging C3’s deep expertise in DIB compliance readiness, Microsoft GCC High, and NIST 800-171 governance. Through advisory support and environment hardening aligned to CMMC Level 2 requirements, C3 played a strategic role in helping Ingalls streamline its readiness efforts and accelerate its path to certification.
By achieving CMMC Level 2, Ingalls demonstrates not only compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements but also the maturity and rigor needed to support prime contractors, subcontractors, and small businesses navigating the complex landscape of federal compliance. This certification further validates the company’s capabilities in risk management, system security engineering, and readiness support across the DIB ecosystem.
The CMMC framework, developed by the DoD, establishes a unified cybersecurity standard to ensure that contractors and subcontractors within the DIB implement the appropriate safeguards to protect sensitive defense information. CMMC Level 2 focuses on the implementation of the 110 security controls outlined in NIST SP 800-171, requiring third-party assessment and validation of compliance.
Since its founding, Ingalls Information Security has been dedicated to protecting national security through proactive cyber defense, compliance readiness, and incident response.
